Opening Day Conference: Anxious Times, Anxious Families
October 4 at 9:30 am – 3:30 pm EDT| $95
Anxious Times, Anxious Families will be the topic of the Bowen Center’s Opening Day Conference for the 2019-2020 academic year. Anxiety will be presented from a family systems perspective, exploring the difference it can make to see anxiety in the family rather than in the individual. By the end of the day, clinicians will have an increased understanding of human functioning as related to anxiety and an increased ability to use a family diagram in working with a variety of presentations of anxiety in family groups.
About the Opening Day Conference
The Opening Day Conference is a single day meeting that kicks off the Clinical Conference Series and focuses on a basic Bowen family systems theory concept. Ideas such as the family as a system, triangles in relationships, the family diagram, anxiety in a family, and goal-setting are discussed. Applications for clinicians are explored in small group breakout sessions.
