Making a Donation to our Annual Fund
Here are four simple ways to make a gift to the Bowen Center:
Online Contributions

Matching Gifts
Many employers recognize the importance of philanthropy by matching donations made by active and retired employees and in some cases, employees' spouses. Through matching donations, your gift to the Center could double or triple in value. Please ontact your human resources office to ask if your employer matches charitable gifts. Please include the employer's matching gift form.
Stocks and Mutual Funds
The Bowen Center is available to assist you with any questions you might have regarding gifts of stock. Please call Ruth Riley Sagar, at 202-965-4400 or contact her by e-mail.
Giving long-term appreciated stock offers you a two-fold tax saving. First, you avoid paying capital gains tax on the increase in value of your stock. In addition, you receive a tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift. To ensure proper credit of your stock gift, please contact Ruth Sagar with the stock name, the number of shares and the estimated date of transfer. The Bowen Center values stock gifts transferred electronically by the date of transfer.
Electronic Transfer Method
The most convenient way to donate stock is by electronic transfer. Please contact Ruth Sagar for information on the Center's brokerage account.
