Anne S. McKnight, LCSW, EdD
Anne S. McKnight began training in the Postgraduate Program at the Family Center in 1975 and was appointed to the faculty in 1992. Over the years, she has organized conferences on family systems and addiction, on death, on differentiation, and on mind/body interaction. She teaches and supervises in the Postgraduate Program.
Dr. McKnight is a clinical social worker who has had a private practice for the last twenty years in Arlington, Virginia. Her clinical interest is in families with addiction. She has taught, worked, and supervised for many years in a Child and Family Substance Abuse program in Arlington, Virginia.
Dr. McKnight has taught and supervised graduate students from a number of programs, including the Catholic University School of Social Services and Virginia Tech Program on Marriage and Family Therapy. She is currently conducting a research project for her dissertation on cutoff in families with children with substance abuse problems.
