Anxious Times, Anxious Families will be the topic of the Bowen Center’s Opening Day Conference for the 2019-2020 academic year. Anxiety will be presented from a family systems perspective, exploring the difference it can make to see anxiety in the family rather than in the individual. About the Opening Day Conference
The Opening Day Conference is a single day meeting that kicks off the Clinical Conference Series and focuses on a basic Bowen family systems theory concept. Ideas such as the family as a system, triangles in relationships, the family diagram, anxiety in a family, and goal-setting are discussed. Applications for clinicians are explored in small group breakout sessions.
