Emma Voorhes

Emma Voorhes is the part-time Event Planner & Conference Coordinator at the Bowen Center, where she executes programs and procedures for all conferences, symposiums, and events in-person, virtual, and hybrid. Upon graduating with a B.A. in Dance and Arts Administration from Goucher College in 2016, her career began working in nonprofit organizations with a love of bringing people together through programming and events. At the start of the pandemic in 2020, Emma gained a certificate in Events and Convention Management through an online program at NYU School of Professional Studies. As a new Maryland resident, she joins the team at the Bowen Center with six years of experience in coordinating a wide range of events in New York City, ranging from online high-profile corporate conferences to fast-paced children’s birthday parties at various venues in the city, and much in between. Emma is excited to return to the nonprofit world and work for an organization she believes in.
